5 DEATHS - between 1 Jan and 31 March 2023, there were 5 farm deaths in NZ.
14 DEATHS THE PREVIOUS YEAR - there were 14 agricultural fatalities in 2022.
255 VEHICLE INCIDENTS - there were 255 Vehicle Incidents causing injuries resulting in more than a week away from work in 2022.
22,000 INJURIES A YEAR - A lack of labour, the big machines and lapses in concentration are some of the factors to blame for more than 22,000 farm injuries a year.
